Harit Urja 2025.
The global reliance on fossil fuels continues to pose significant challenges, with far-reaching implications for our environment, economy, and society. The pressing need to accelerate emission reduction initiatives and adopt advanced climate change mitigation technologies has never been more critical. Despite the growing urgency, the pace of energy transition remains inadequate, hindered by systemic inertia and short-term priorities. India is on the cusp of a major transformation standing as one of the world's largest and most rapidly expanding economies, has pledged to reach net-zero emissions by 2070. India will raise its non-fossil energy capacity to 500 GW by 2030 while meeting 50 per cent of its energy demand through renewables. Also, by 2030, India will reduce 1 billion tonnes of projected emissions and achieve a 45 percent reduction in carbon intensity over 2005 levels. Achieving India's 2070 Net Zero target will require unprecedented levels of investment, collaboration, and commitment in conjunction with economic growth, energy requirements, environmental consciousness, and technological innovation. This transition to green energy, encompassing solar, wind, green hydrogen, electric vehicles (EVs), and battery energy storage systems (BESS), are driven by both government initiatives and substantial private investments. The shift not only aims at reducing carbon footprints but also holds immense potential to create job opportunities and promote inclusive growth on a global scale.
In this critical juncture this Harit Urja 2025 Conference & Exhibition is a collaborative platform designed to bridge the gap between ambition and action through engaging discussions, insightful presentations, and interactive sessions. From exploring cutting-edge technologies to sharing success stories of sustainable initiatives, this conference aims to cover a comprehensive range of issues in various sectors shaping the future of India's commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by attaining green energy goals. This event schedule on 5th June 2025 in celebration of World Environment Day, will bring together stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and civil society to promote sustainable energy solutions and climate-conscious innovations.
